Limbo
We are somewhere
between the days before
and the days to come.
Waiting to see
a deadpan face, giving
away nothing of the
long-term prognosis.
We are somewhere
between the fire and the rain
waiting for sanity to arrive.
Will the future be smoke or mist?
Can we even hope for
the return of a gentle sun?We are somewhere
between staying and going
and the agony of the neither
plays on the minds of millions,
lingering for leadership.We are waiting for change,
polarised in our views,
arguing at every turn
while the world burns
